Recently I heard somebody taking about the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mouse Foundation. I used to love that foundation back when I started in the makeup world. I don't remember why I stop using it, but both my mom and I would wear it all the time and get wonderful comments about how our skin looked. So I decided to give it a second chance and see if it is still in my repertoire of favorite foundations.
To start a little information about the claims of this foundation: It says to be a creamy easy to blend foundation that provides an airbrush finish that evens skin tone.
- Air-whipped liquid provides perfecting coverage for 100% poreless skin
- Ideal for normal skin
- Oil-free, fragrance-free, Dermatologist-tested, allergy-tested, non-comedogenic – won’t clog pores, safe for sensitive skin (Taken from Maybeline website)
In my opinion, the Maybelline liquid mousse is a matte/satin foundation with a natural finish but not airbrush finish as it claims. I can still see my skin and pores (but not in an bad way, it looks like your skin). It also has good coverage (light / medium) and one thing that I like is that it does not accentuate dry patches or fine lines.
This foundation is very light and comfortable on the skin and great for everyday.
Now let's talk about the cons which are not many. This foundation may oxidize a little so you must pick a lighter color but not more than two shades lighter. It is not so long lasting (holds up to around 6 hrs) so make sure to use a powder to add extra longevity. On the other hand, it may not be a good option for oily skin, it is guided more towards dry-combination skin which I am.
Pros: Overall, it is a good foundation and inexpensive. Love that gives me a natural finish with nice MEDIUM coverage and it does not look like I'm wearing make up. Maybe this Is the reason I used to love this foundation. Nevertheless, it is not longer one of my favorites although I would still wear it for regular days.
